Cape and a Nice Tiara

I saw this pillow this week and at first thought of Katie. She's always wanted a tiara - but not just any tiara, a special tiara.  I don't think I can afford it.

But I took a picture because well... it was so cute. And I've thought about it so many times this past week.

I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN THAT GIVEN A CAPE AND A NICE TIARA, I COULD SAVE THE WORLD.

I'm probably not going to ever have a magical cape or a crowning tiara in this life and I probably won't be saving the world. But I do have angels that lift me up and love that comes from my Savior that wraps around me and keeps me safe (maybe even makes me invisible sometimes to danger that lurks by).

I'm probably not going to have a tiara that makes everyone realize how special I am, a symbol of what I've achieved or become.  I go pretty much unnoticed most of my life and as I found out, even misjudged or ridiculed because I'm a "Lang". Whatever...

I know who I am - I am a Daughter of God - and if I follow His plan I will inherit all that He has. It reminds me of the story of the young boy who was throwing star fish back into the ocean.

A man called out to a young child on the beach, “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”
The child paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”
“I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the somewhat startled man.
To this, the child replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”
Upon hearing this, the man commented, “But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”
At this, the child bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, “I made a difference for that one.”

I can make a difference to someone. I hope I make a difference in your lives because you are the ones I treasure. And I love watching and seeing how all of you, maybe not SAVE the world, but CHANGE the world, by being the people you are! I Stand All Amazed!
